Kenyetta Morales MS, OTR/L, CLT, WCC

Occupational Therapist / Lymphedema Therapist

Kenyetta received her undergraduate degree from The University of South Carolina, in Columbia with a major in Physical Education and Athletic Training, in May of 2000. This background developed her ability to treat and help prevent acute athletic injuries, in a variety of different sports, from high school to D1 and semi-pro football. Kenyetta would eventually, further her education at Barry University in Miami Shores, obtaining her Masters degree in occupational therapy in 2010, and found satisfaction working with the geriatric population in settings such as skilled nursing, ALF/ILFs, hospital acute inpatient, home health and outpatient clinics. Kenyetta has found lymphedema management and wound care, particularly rewarding because of the ability to see positive change, from one treatment session to another, which can be very significant. Kenyetta was trained in the Vodder method, for complete decongestive therapy and manual lymph drainage massage (CDT/MLD), at the Klose training academy in Colorado, under the direction of Gunter Klose. Her wound care certification was obtained from the Wound Care Education Institute, now Relias, and has been described as one of her most difficult specialty courses to date. Kenyetta, has also obtained her advanced MLD certification in post-operative procedures, including breast cancer reconstruction and mastectomies, as well as elective plastic surgeries such as 360 lipo, tummy tucks, Brazilian butt lifts, and other post surgical procedures.Kenyetta has partnered with area garment fitters and pump representatives, for equipment to best assist the clients she serves, and to provide a more seamless, continuity of care, ensuring best results at discharge. Kenyetta credits her discipline and resolve from the training she received as an enlisted member of the United States Army Reserves, where she served nearly a decade as an ammunition sergeant/E5, traveling the world, before her honorable discharge in 2002.
